2 photosAmtico herringbone through an open-plan kitchen
Amtico LVT laid in herringbone right through a kitchen and dining space, tight to the island and the doorways.
A border round a herringbone floor gives it a finished, framed look, and it also gives a clean line to cut the pattern against. The border is set out first, parallel to the walls, and the herringbone is then laid inside it.
Hallways take the most traffic in a house, so the base is prepared carefully and the LVT is glued down to stay put. Doorways are finished with neat thresholds into the rooms either side.
