A commercial kitchen floor has to be slip resistant, easy to clean and sealed so water cannot get underneath. Safety vinyl does all three when the seams are heat welded and the edges are coved up the walls.
Coving forms the vinyl up the wall in a smooth curve, so there is no corner for food or water to collect in and the floor can be mopped right to the edge. The base is prepared and smoothed first so the sheet lies flat under heavy equipment.
